Why Use ZIP to PDF Converter?

ZIP files are commonly used to compress multiple files into a single archive. However, the contents inside a ZIP file often need to be extracted before they can be viewed or shared. A ZIP to PDF converter simplifies this process by turning supported files inside the archive into a single PDF document.

This approach helps organize information from multiple files into a structured document that is easier to manage.

For users who frequently deal with archived documents, converting ZIP contents into PDF format can improve document organization and make sharing information more convenient and efficient.

Pro Tips

Get the Best Results

Name Images for Natural Ordering
tip → page order
Images in a ZIP are extracted in filename order. If you name them with zero-padded numbers — "001.jpg", "002.jpg", "003.jpg" — they'll arrive in the right order and need no dragging to reorder. Use at least three digits for archives larger than 99 images.
Choose "Fit to Image" for Mixed Sizes
tip → page size
If your images have inconsistent dimensions — mixing portrait photos and landscape screenshots, for example — choose "Fit to image" so each PDF page matches its image exactly rather than being uniformly letterboxed on an A4 canvas.
Use "Auto" Orientation for Photos
tip → orientation
For photo archives with a mix of portrait and landscape shots, set Orientation to "Auto". Each page will be oriented to match the image — portrait for tall photos, landscape for wide ones — rather than forcing everything into one orientation.
Remove Non-Image Files First
tip → clean output
The tool skips non-image files, but if your ZIP contains many extras (text files, thumbs.db, __MACOSX folders) the stats bar will show a high "skipped" count. For the cleanest result, build your ZIP from image files only before converting.
Compress Images Before Zipping
tip → file size
The output PDF size is roughly the sum of the input image sizes. For large photo collections, run the images through the JPEG Optimizer first to reduce file size before zipping, so the resulting PDF is more compact and email-friendly.
Protect or Merge After Converting
tip → workflow
After downloading the PDF, use Protect PDF to add a password if it contains sensitive images, or Merge PDF to combine it with other existing PDFs into a larger document — both tools accept the output directly.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this ZIP to PDF converter free?
Yes — completely free with no hidden charges, no subscription, no watermark on the output, and no usage limits. JPG2Go is free for everyone, always.
Is my ZIP file uploaded to a server?
No. Your ZIP file and all images inside it are processed entirely in your browser using JSZip and pdf-lib, both client-side JavaScript libraries. Nothing is ever sent to any server. Your files never leave your device.
What image formats are supported inside the ZIP?
JPG/JPEG, PNG, and WebP. Other file types inside the ZIP (text files, PDFs, SVGs, etc.) are automatically skipped. The stats bar shows how many files were skipped so you know what was excluded.
Does it support images inside subfolders in the ZIP?
Yes. The tool scans all files in the ZIP regardless of directory depth. Images in nested subfolders are included. Their path-sorted order determines the initial extraction order, which you can then reorder by dragging.
How is page order determined?
Images are initially sorted by their filename path within the ZIP (alphabetically, case-insensitive). You can then drag thumbnails to any order in the preview grid before converting. The sequence shown is the exact page order in the PDF.
What page size options are available?
Fit to image (each PDF page matches the exact pixel dimensions of its image), A4 (210 × 297 mm), US Letter (8.5 × 11 in), A3 (297 × 420 mm), and Square (210 × 210 mm). Each page size can be combined with portrait, landscape, or auto orientation.
